Kamara played in all three preseason games and recorded six tackles (four solo, two assists), three quarterback hits, and a sack. Kamara notched his first preseason sack versus the Buffalo Bills on August 21. He closed out the preseason slate by tallying four tackles (three solos, one assist) against the Tennessee Titans on August 28. Following a strong showing in the preseason, Kamara was re-signed to the Bears' practice squad where he has spent time working as an outside linebacker.
Unfortunately, he was released a few weeks following. To be honest, the Chicago Bears have one of the deepest defensive linemen groups in the NFL so it was always going to be an uphill battle for Kamara to make the roster. However, he clearly showed that he was plenty good enough to compete in this league and the Browns took the opportunity.
