The Tennessee Titans are making headlines again in the world of NFL trade rumors. After signing five-time Pro Bowler and three-time First-team All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins to a two-year, $26 million contract last month, the Titans might not be done adding star power to their receiving corps. ESPN's Seth Walder has proposed a blockbuster trade idea that would bring Las Vegas Raiders' standout wideout Hunter Renfrow to Nashville.

This move would be a significant upgrade for the Titans' receiving group, which includes Hopkins and second-year wideout Treylon Burks, but not much else in terms of established talent. Renfrow, known for his prowess in the slot, would be a substantial improvement over Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, who struggled last season with one of the worst overall scores in ESPN's receiver tracking metrics, or Kyle Philips, a 2022 fifth-round pick who had just eight receptions in an injury-shortened rookie season.

Seth Walder explains the rationale behind the trade proposal: "The Titans looked like a potential rebuild candidate going into the offseason, but quarterback Ryan Tannehill and running back Derrick Henry remained on the roster, and the team recently signed wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, clearly signaling its intention to win in 2023. Hopkins was a start to fixing a deficient receiving group that featured Treylon Burks, a 2022 first-round pick who was just OK in his rookie season (444 receiving yards in 11 games), and not a whole lot else."

In this proposed deal, the Titans would receive Renfrow and a 2024 sixth-round draft pick from the Raiders in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round selection. The move would make sense for the Raiders as well, who recently signed former New England Patriot Jakobi Meyers and drafted Cincinnati Bearcats' standout Tre Tucker, both slot receivers. Meyers, in particular, has a connection to current Raiders' head coach Josh McDaniels from their time together in New England when McDaniels served as the Patriots' offensive coordinator.

Hunter Renfrow is just two seasons removed from a career year in which he hauled in 103 passes for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns. Adding a player of Renfrow's caliber to the Titans' offense would further solidify their intentions of making a deep run in 2023. Combining the playmaking abilities of Hopkins, Renfrow, and Burks could prove to be a lethal trio for opposing defenses, especially with Ryan Tannehill at the helm and Derrick Henry carrying the ball. This proposed trade could be a game-changer for Tennessee.
