The NFL brings much uncertainty to players. Sometimes, players get cut, and that's the end of their careers. The future of Titans QB Malik Willis is looking very uncertain right now, and he is not guaranteed of making the team ahead of the 2023 season.

Willis was drafted in 2022, as the Titans used the 86th pick on him. On the Titans website, they were doing a Q&A with reporter Jim Wyatt. Here is what one fan asked:

"My question is about Malik Willis. It's great to hear all the reports that suggest he's making improvements, but I'm still seeing articles/posts out there suggesting his roster spot is in jeopardy. Doesn't the new rule that allows for the 3rd QB to dress on game days more or less guarantee his spot? Please let me know if I'm missing something. Thanks!"

This fan is feeling uncertain about the young QB, and is hoping Wyatt can answer this burning question. Here is what Wyatt replied with:

"Malik's roster spot isn't guaranteed, even with the new rule. Ryan Tannehill and Will Levis will be on the 53-man roster because Tannehill is the starter, and Levis was the 33rd overall pick and he's going to be given time. So, Malik needs to keep improving, and earn his spot. Right now, I think he will be on the 53 himself, and I wasn't thinking that way the beginning of May. Malik outperformed Levis this offseason, and definitely showed improvement from a year ago. But things can change"

So, the future of Willis' time in Tennessee is unclear. Even though he has shown improvement this offseason, he is still the third-string guy, so a spot for him on the team is not guaranteed.

During his time in college, Willis earned himself a record of 17-6, 48 passing touchdowns, 29 rushing touchdowns, and 5,176 passing yards. He did all of this in just 2 seasons of starting, as he barely played in his first 2 years.

Last season, in his rookie year with the Titans, Willis played in 8 total games, and started in 3 games due to Ryan Tannehill getting injured. During his short time on the field, Willis ended with a 1-2 record, 1 rushing touchdown, 0 passing touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. It didn't look too good, but he was not given the best chance.

I see Willis becoming a solid QB in the NFL, but he needs to be with a stable team. The Titans are dealing with too many issues and questions when it comes to QBs, so it may be best for Willis to sign somewhere else.
