Tom Brady is one week into his retirement, so he has thoughts on whether Aaron Rodgers should join him on the other side.

If Tom Brady remains retired, he will undoubtedly be headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2028. However, when that happens, he does not want to see Aaron Rodgers there. On his podcast, Let's Go!, Brady made it clear that he does not want to see Rodgers retire just yet.

"You know what, I hope he doesn't retire. I think the league needs good quarterbacks, and he's one of the greats. So if he retires, it'll be a sad day for the league," Brady said, as transcribed by the league's official website.

"I hope the good players keep playing. That's what my hope is. That's what I tried to do. And now you hope that the next generation does that, and I hope they have the tools necessary to do that."

During Brady's conversation about the Packers QB, the subject turned to Rodgers' darkness retreat, and Brady had nothing but glowing things to say about it. "He's an incredible player, and everyone has their different processes they go through," Brady said. "And you know what, I think we all need to get off our phone a little bit more. I think we all need to get away from the TV a little bit more. I think we all need a little more nature and a little more silence and a little more peace. And however he's going about it, good for him."

Once Rodgers comes out of the darkness, there's a chance we could get a decision about his future. The 39-year-old recently said he'll be much closer to making his final decision after his darkness retreat.

If he retires, the Packers can move on with Jordan Love. If not, reports seem to suggest they are ready to trade him elsewhere. His lone decision will shake the NFL to its core.
