Despite the controversy surrounding the wardrobe malfunction, Brady had nothing but positive remarks to make about it during an episode of his Let's Go! podcast this week. "When we beat Carolina in 2003, we came off the field, and that was when we had the wardrobe malfunction with Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson," Brady recollected. "And they were asking me about that! I couldn't even understand what they were telling me about."
"I think, in the end, it was probably beneficial for the NFL because everyone talked about it. It generated more publicity for the halftime shows, so is any publicity bad publicity?" After singing the last line of Timberlake's "gonna have you naked by the end of this song," the singer tore off a part of Jackson's costume, revealing her right breast. Although the camera quickly changed its shot, the damage had already been done.
