Twitter Reacts to Cris Collinsworth�s Comments on Bears QB Tyson Bagent - Bashing on Justin Fields (Video)
After a fantastic preseason, the NFL world has been hyping up Bears undrafted rookie QB Tyson Bagent.
After Justin Fields has been ruled out for the past 2 games with a thumb injury, fans were relieved to have Bagent in as the new starter, but things are now getting out of hand.
After Bagent led the Bears to a blowout win last week, we have all been eagerly waiting to see him play again as Fields was ruled out, and some fans believe he could continue to start even when Fields is healthy.
Though we were excited to see Bagent once again, he disappointed us.
In the Bears 30-13 loss against the Chargers in SNF, fans noticed how much broadcaster Cris Collinsworth was hyping up Bagent, even though he played sloppy:
As heard and seen, Collinsworth believes that Fields could learn something from Bagent, implying that Bagent is better than the former first-round pick. Fans noticed these comments, and were certainly not thrilled.
Was Bagent fun to watch last week? Yes. Did most of us think that he is better than Fields? No way. This statement from Collinsworth is wild to hear, and disrespectful to Fields. Fields is still a better QB than Bagent, and is one of the most talented QBs in the NFL. Maybe he doesn't fit right with the Bears, but he is worthy of being a starter.
Bagent is a solid QB who will improve with time, but saying he is better then Fields is just a wrong statement.
