The NFL draft is getting closer and closer. GM Ryan Poles has a lot of work still left to be done before putting his final draft board. The top 30 visit list is a very important part of the process.

Firstly, what is a «30 visit» or «top-30 visit,» and why should we care? Every NFL team across the league in the weeks leading up to the draft is allowed to invite up to 30 different prospects to come in for an interview. The selected players have to go through meetings with coaches and managers and also take physicals. The main purpose is for the teams to try to learn the most they can about each prospect. Teams have to be very specific about who they choose also. For instance, GM Ryan Poles will not put DE Aiden Hutchinson on the top 30 visits list. It would make no sense since Hutchinson will for sure be a top 10 pick and the Bears don't have a pick in the first round.

It was reported yesterday that 2 prospects have been added to the list.

DE Daniel Hardy (Montana State)

CB Damarri Mathis (Pitt)

Prior to that, we knew that these players were on Poles' list as well:

QB Chris Oladokun (South Dakota State)TE Chigoziem Okonkwo (Maryland)LB Brian Asamoah (Oklahoma)OT Matt Waletzko (North Dakota)S Kerby Joseph (Illinois)DL Eric Johnson (Missouri State)OL Kenyon Green (Texas A&M)WR Jalen Nailor (Michigan State)DGE Esezi Otomewo (Minnesota)WR Tyquan Thornton (Baylor)CB Samuel Womack (Toledo)

I really like that Poles is going for lather rounds guy and he will be able to gain an edge on other teams. This is the blessing in disguise of not having a first-round pick. You can be creative and crafty with your very valuable top 30 visits!
