The senior Mahomes was an extremely proud papa after watching his son fire the Kansas City Chiefs to a second championship in four seasons with an MVP-caliber performance against Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Chiefs appeared to be dead in the water after going down by 10 in the first half, with the Eagles putting on a dominant performance in the period. But the second half was all Mahomes and the Chiefs. Mahomes, who was named Super Bowl MVP for the second time in his career, was shown sharing a hug with his old man after the win, with mics picking up what was said between the two.
There was a lot of love exchanged between the two men as the older one was heard telling his son how different he is. You could see the interaction in the video below:
Mahomes made 21 of his 27 passing attempts on the night, throwing for 182 yards and three touchdowns. He also made six rushes for 44 yards, while something has to be said of the job the offensive line did as he was protected all night against Philly's ruthless pass rushing.
