Chicago Bears wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown caught three passes for a team-high 85 yards in the Bears' 28-19 loss to the Packers in Week 13. The Bears' wide receiver room has lacked talent all season and, say what you want, but St. Brown has been a steadying presence this season. He has earned snaps because of his run-blocking but also has a solid, if unspectacular, rapport with quarterback Justin Fields.
However, it's pretty obvious that in an ideal world, St. Brown would be a backup and not a starter week in and week out. His lack of top-tier talent showed out late in the game when he ran an atrocious route that led to Jaire Alexander's interception late in the game and it virtually cost the bears the football game.
Even Justin Fields couldn't help himself but to criticize St. Brown after the game.
