WATCH: Chase Claypool Throws Shade at the Media
The media has not been kind to Bears WR Chase Claypool this past offseason, due to his 2022 performance, rumours of his attitude, and his offseason activities. Because of the way the media is addressing him, he decided to do a bit of trolling:
As seen in the video, Claypool is trolling the media, as he believes that he will only get respect if he is posting his training. As said in the video, he believes that it's lame to do that.
In 7 games with the Bears last season, Claypool put up disappointing numbers, with 14 receptions, 140 yards, and 0 touchdowns, as well as 1 fumble. His performance was not what the Bears wanted, so he needs to prove himself this season, or else the Bears will need to trade him away.
He was also getting bashed by many media outlets for his offseason activities, as he was seen modeling in Paris. The issue is not so much about the activity, but rather because he needs to be training way more than most, due to his disappointing decline. I support offseason fun, as long as he's putting in the work too.
This video clarifies that Claypool is putting in the work, but decides to not post it.
