As most of us remember, the Giants drafted LSU standout WR Odell Beckham Jr. back in 2014 as the teams first-round selection.
From the jump, Beckham Jr. was a superstar and became a cultural phenomenon. He was the most exciting player in the NFL during his years with the Giants, but after some drama occurred off-field, his hype and time in New York came to an end.
Following the 2018 season, Beckham Jr. was traded to the Browns in exchange for some players and draft picks. This trade was a shock to many, including Beckham Jr. His performances then began to decline, and has not been the same player in several years.
In a recent interview, Beckham Jr. explains how this trade was meant to hurt his career and he says that the Giants sent him "off to Cleveland to die:"
He then elaborates and explains how there were many opportunities for him to be traded to a contender, but out of spite, the Giants instead traded him somewhere they knew he would not shine.
There is clearly still a lot of drama and issues that are not fully known yet.
