Eberflus also specifically said that Bears LB Roquan Smith would suit up and play. We don't know if he will play the full half, but it still is a great sign to see that he will be involved in the game. After all, Roquan is supposed to be the focal point of Eberflus' defense.
I expect a big year for him. I want to see him bottle up the frustration he has built up over the past few weeks during the negotiation process and leave it on the field. If he is able to play and thrive in Eberflus' system, the organization will have no choice but to pay him like a top 2-3 inside linebacker in football.
