Why Davante Adams Could Reunite with his Former QB
Most fans remember DaVante Adams' time in Green Bay, playing along QB Aaron Rodgers. Most would say that those were the best days of his career, as he got to play with the future Hall of Famer, and that Adams should reunite with him in New York. However, Adams may want to reunite with a different QB, someone he played with in college, and 1 season in the NFL: Derek Carr.
Adams spent his college career playing with QB Derek Carr. In those short 2 seasons, and in only 26 games, Adams put up some incredible stats. With 233 receptions, 3,031 receiving yards and 38 touchdowns, Adams was a real threat to defensive backs, and Carr was to thank.
After the Packers traded Adams to the Raiders before the 2022 season, he was finally reunited with Carr. However, their playing time together was cut short, as Carr was benched after week 16, and was then released. Carr signed with the Saints shortly after, and now, former 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo is set to start at QB for the Raiders.
Adams looks like he is not too happy in Vegas anymore. He has seemed unsupportive in the media, not talking highly of his team. It looks like he may want a change, and if the Raiders want to go into full rebuild, there best bet may be to trade Adams.
As reported by Bleacher Report, a good trade option would be to send Adams to New Orleans to reunite with Carr, in exchange for a 2024 first-round pick and a 2025 third-round pick. This deal would make both parties happy, and could go a long way for both organizations.
