WILD: Chiefs-Dolphins Game Forced to Stop After Patrick Mahomes CRACKS His Helmet (Video)

While rushing with the ball, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes got hit head on by a Dolphins defender, which caused for Mahomes' helmet to crack:

The refs did not see the helmet crack until a play later, where they then forced Mahomes to change his helmet. No timeout was called, but the clock stopped to allow Mahomes to switch his helmet:

Though Mahomes was forced to change his helmet, he was not made to sit out for a play for an evaluation. After a hit to the head that cracks your helmet, I would think that he would need to be checked out.
