After this heartbreaking injury, there has been a debate on whether or not the Vikings will keep Cousins around in the future, and according to former Bears and Vikings DE Jared Allen, he says no:
As heard, Allen said;
Allen believes that the Vikings should move on from the 4-time Pro Bowler, as his injury will likely negatively affect his playing ability.
Cousins is also eyeing an expensive extension deal, but with an injury like this, Allen does not think he will get it.
Cousins will be 36 by the time the 2024 season begins, and with his age along with his injuries, teams may not want to commit to a player who may not have very long left in the NFL.
