Overall, the veteran center has played for the Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Dolphins. While he is coming off of season-ending knee surgery, there is a sense that his recovery has been nothing short of miraculous. As Adam Schefter reported a month ago, numerous teams have been interested in Williams, who is asking for close to $23 million over three years. The Bears were reportedly one of the teams interested.
However, Greg Gabriel, a former scout on the Bears, is saying that this signing is not going to happen. Although he has no official source to back it up, he is an insider who knows quite a bit about the team. That said, only time will tell whether or not Gabriel is proven to be correct.
