After 12 seasons in the NFL, tight end Kyle Rudolph has announced that he is retiring:

Rudolph was drafted by the Vikings as the teams 2nd round pick in the 2011 NFL draft. Rudolph then spent the next 10 seasons in Minnesota, where he became a fan favorite and a key member to the team.

After being released by the Vikings before the 2021 season, Rudolph signed with the Giants, where he spent one season with the team before being released.

Rudolph then played his final season in the NFL with the Buccaneers.

As reported by insider Jordan Schultz, Rudolph will be returning to Minnesota to retire as a Viking. He will be honoured during the week 3 game, and will officially end his career:

Rudolph is not walking away from the game fully, as his next career move will be in the football media world. He will be co-hosting a show on Fox Sports radio and be a Big Ten analyst.

Rudolph finishes his NFL career with a total of 165 games played, 482 receptions for 4,773 yards, and 50 touchdowns. He is also a 2-time Pro Bowler.
