Jackson has fulfilled his five-year rookie contract and could potentially enter the free agent market next month. It's more probable, however, that he'll either receive the franchise tag, re-sign with Baltimore, or be traded to another team. Recent reports suggest that the relationship between Jackson and the Ravens is progressively deteriorating. Now, Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reports that the team did not fully incorporate the 2019 league MVP in their search for a new offensive coordinator. Interestingly, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic responded to a fan and mentioned that his understanding is that Baltimore offered Jackson multiple opportunities to provide input on the new offensive coordinator hire.
The Ravens dismissed well-regarded offensive coordinator Greg Roman following their playoff loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, and have since appointed Todd Monken as the new OC.
Last season, Jackson won eight of his 12 starts for the Ravens, completing 62.3 percent of his pass attempts for 2,242 yards and 17 touchdowns with seven interceptions, in addition to 764 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
