Bears analyst believes this will be the biggest storyline to watch for in Saturday's game
The last preseason game versus the Cleveland Browns will be a very important one. Of course, winning the game is not that important since it's only preseason, but you would like to see the players building up on the great play from the previous weeks. I think we need to see a little more from some younger players as well.
With that being said, here is what Chris Emma mentions as his biggest storyline to watch for:
1. Fields' night
The last time that Chicago quarterback Justin Fields played in Cleveland, it was an unmitigated disaster.
Fields was sacked nine times during his first NFL start last September, and the Bears mustered just 47 net yards of offense. Afterward, Fields limped through the bowels of FirstEnergy Stadium with a concerned look on his face, wondering what was ahead in his rookie season.
This Saturday, the primary goals are for Fields to walk out healthy and feeling comfortable in the Bears' offense. Chicago showcased progress on offense in a win at Seattle on Aug. 18, and taking another step forward will be the goal in Cleveland.
Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy doesn't want to tip his hand schematically with the regular season fast approaching, but he hopes to provide Fields and the offense with a game plan that gets the football out fast.
