Bears cornerback signs a new deal

Adam Schefter reported that former Bears cornerback Artie Burns has signed a new one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks worth $2 million.

Burns was a first-round selection by the Steelers in 2016. He then joined the Chicago Bears prior to the 2020 season. However, he missed the entire year due to a knee injury. He came back in 2021. Even though he did not make a huge impact on the field, he played pretty solid for the Bears last year. In the 11 games where he played, he recorded a PFF grade of 79,5 which is very respectable. He had 6 passes defended.

Maybe a change of scenery for him will help rejuvenate his career in Seattle.
