Bears LB Matt Adams Arrested

Thursday, June, 24th, Bears LB Matt Adams was arrested. He is charged with misdemeanor gun possession after police found him with a high-capacity magazine and metal piercing bullets.

Adams followed Eberflus over from the Colts. Adams was arrested on Garland Court near Lake St. and Michigan Ave.

Possessing high-capacity magazines or metal piercing bullets within city limits is a municipal city violation. Police found the evidence when searching a car that was reported stolen.

Adams has a license for the gun but not in Illinois and when questioned by the police he admitted the car was his. The Bears have declined to comment so far. This marks the second off-season arrest after Byron Pringle.
