According to Will Ragatz of Inside the Vikings, the All-Pro wide receiver is maintaining a shroud of uncertainty regarding his return after being sidelined for seven weeks due to a hamstring injury.
"I'm not certain," Jefferson remarked when queried about his potential comeback. "We'll have to wait and see. We still have more practice days to evaluate everything thoroughly. We'll carefully consider our options, ensuring that I'm in good shape and ready to play in a game. If I feel fit and ready, I will play."
Jefferson has yet to complete a full practice, so his status remains a point of interest as we approach the Saturday injury report. However, with an extra day between the final injury report release and the game, it wouldn't be surprising if Jefferson shows up ready to play. If he manages a full Saturday practice, his return may seem highly probable.
Currently on injured reserve, Jefferson finds himself in the midst of his 21-day window for a potential return.
"I've been reaching my top speeds and running well," Jefferson informed reporters. "It's still a day-to-day process."
Similar to the Bears, the Vikings have a bye week following Monday night's game. Hence, they are likely aiming to ensure Jefferson's complete recovery to have him at full strength for the playoff push. It's worth noting that they previously defeated the Bears without Jefferson, although they did have Kirk Cousins as their quarterback in that matchup.
Earlier in the week, Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell categorized his star receiver as "questionable" for the game. The actual injury designations for this game will be disclosed on Saturday afternoon.
