One of the most intriguing players on the Bears roster is TE Cole Kmet. He figures to play a big part in Getsy's offense, and the offensive coordinator Luke Getsy is very excited about what the third-year tight end can bring to Chicago's offense.

«I've been very impressed with Cole. Just the ability, the flexibility as a player, I think he has all that stuff. So I'm excited to see him have a bunch of different roles in our offense.

«Some players that are out there, they're kind of like this is what they do well. But I think the more guys that you can get in a system that can do a bunch of different things, the more success you're going to have, and I think cole is one of those guys.»

It was reported a few weeks ago that, for the second straight year, Cole Kmet plans to attend "Tight End University," a gathering of tight ends that's scheduled to be held June 22-24 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

Tight End University will take place at Vanderbilt University in Nashville from June 22-24. Kittle, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and former NFL tight end Greg Olsen established the event in 2021, to bring the entire tight end community together to bond, collaborate with, and learn amongst their peers. Over 50 tight ends are expected to be present at this event.

Attendees will participate in a variety of activities including film study, on-field drills, recovery, rehabilitation and more. In addition to current NFL tight ends, TEU also invited several retired legends as coaches.
