The Chicago Bears seem to have hit a rough patch in the early stages of the 2023 NFL season. With an 0-3 start and a concerning 13-game losing streak, prospects for improvement appear slim.

Quarterback Justin Fields is having a notably tough start to his third NFL season. Contrasting with his standout performance last season, his current form has been less than stellar.

Before the game on Sunday, Fields promised to break away from a more mechanical approach and play more naturally. Yet, he struggled to find his rhythm during the 41-10 defeat against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Post-game, when questioned about the challenging start to the season, Fields' introspective response was poignant. "When I reflect on the broader perspective, and life as a whole, I'm reminded of the things that truly matter,» Fields commented, as reported by Courtney Cronin. «During good times, it's easy to get carried away, but recent weeks have made me cherish life's simple joys, like playing this sport."

Fields continued, emphasizing his passion and gratitude for the game, «Each time I step onto the field, I intend to play with joy, give it my all, and be thankful for the skills I've been blessed with. Regardless of the scoreboard, I aim to maintain this perspective and always strive to progress.»

Considering the high hopes for this season, the team's current state is disheartening. Fields was anticipated to excel, especially given the bolstered team around him. However, the reality seems to be a step back from the previous year.

On the bright side, the Bears will soon face the struggling Denver Broncos, who recently suffered a massive 50-point loss, conceding 70 points. This upcoming match might offer Chicago a golden opportunity to turn things around.
