Bears' reporters believes Kahlil Mack will be traded soon
We have heard multiple times from Ryan Poles that, in order to build a championship-caliber roster, you have to draft well. If you want to do that, you need some draft picks. As we speak, the Bears only have 5 picks in the 2022 NFL draft.
One way the bears could obtain more draft capital would be to trade their superstar linebacker Khalil Mack.
Mike Mulligan and David Haugh believe this would be the way to go. "If they're going to admit they're in the beginning stages of a rebuild, I think you have to consider every way possible to add to the draft capital.»
While I would not call this a full-on rebuild, this makes sense.
The current market for Mack would be pretty solid. Some say he may even be worth a late first-round pick. However, the most likely scenario would be a second-round pick paired up with a 4th or 5th.
Losing a player as good as mack would hurt, but this might just be the best move in the long haul.
