During a Thursday press conference, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus revealed the four permanent team captains for the 2023 NFL season, as decided by a team vote. Quarterback Justin Fields, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, wide receiver DJ Moore, and safety Eddie Jackson have been selected to lead the team. Two from the offense and two from the defense make up this year's quartet of captains.
Eberflus also noted that, similar to last season, there will be a weekly honorary captain. However, there's been no announcement regarding who will serve as the honorary captain for the Bears' Week 1 clash against the Green Bay Packers.
