The Chicago Bears, already off to a rocky 0-2 start, faced further challenges when they were hit with a robbery, losing over $100,000 worth of equipment, including gators and lawn-mowers.

Ryan Clark of ESPN couldn't resist poking fun at the situation on NFL Live. "Given the week the Bears have had, it's a surprise the thieves didn't take the offensive playbook - that might've done them a favor. Guess they don't always take what you'd hope," he commented. Sharing the clip later, he quipped, «Imagine the thieves debating over the playbook and deciding to leave it behind."

His colleagues Laura Rutledge and Dan Orlovsky chimed in with, «Who checks the playbook and decides, 'nope, not this one?'»

This jesting follows a tense week for Bears' offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, especially after quarterback Justin Fields expressed that his game feels stagnant due to a "robotic" play style, which he attributed to "coaching".

Fields has since softened his stance, and Getsy emphasized the strong bond they share, evident from their recent warm exchange on the practice field.

With a match against the Kansas City Chiefs on the horizon, it's a pivotal moment for the Bears' offense. To silence critics and demonstrate progress, Fields needs to ramp up his performance beyond the current average of 213.5 passing yards per game and a 2-3 TD/INT ratio.
