McCarron's last stint as a quarterback was with the St. Louis Battlehawks during the 2023 XFL season. His NFL appearance was back in 2020, playing two games as a backup for the Houston Texans.

A former fifth-round pick for the Bengals in 2014, McCarron is best known for his triumphant college years, securing three national titles with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
