Bears TE Cole Kmet Speaks on how 'Unfair' It is that the Team could be Trading away QB Justin Fields
With the draft coming up shortly, there have been many discussions surrounding the Bears trading away Justin Fields and drafting Caleb Williams.
With this possibility looming, Bears TE Cole Kmet spoke about the discussion, and mentioned how unfair it is:
"The NFL is unfair. That's just what it is. If they find a better, cheaper option at any position, they're gonna do that. That's what they gotta evaluate, if whoever they're gonna take at No. 1 is better. That's what this business is"
- Kmet saidIf the Bears do move on from Fields, then they will be resetting their QB salary and start fresh with a new QB. It's apart of the business, and Kmet understands that. He clearly wants to continue playing with Fields, but knows that there is a large chance that Williams will be his QB next season.
