Bears WR Chase Claypool Opens Up in Postgame Interview, Explains What Went Wrong
After losing 27-17 to the Buccaneers, it has been hard to find something positive from the game.
The one thing however that many people were happy about, was the performance by Bears WR Chase Claypool.
Claypool finished the day with 3 catches for 36 yards, along with 1 touchdown. Though this would not sound impressive for most, this was indeed the bright spot due to Claypool's ugly performance from week 1.
Bears reporter Courtney Cronin reveals that after the week 2 matchup, she talked with Claypool about what went wrong in week 1, where Claypool responds with:
"I mean, I think there's good games and bad games and I think if you highlight all the bad plays in a game, I think it makes it look worse than it was and I think it's easy to point out bad things but they get paid a lot of money, too, and they're going to make plays. Obviously, those are plays I want back and I want to make all those plays but it's an unrealistic expectation."
It looks like Claypool is defending his week 1 performance, and believes that the fans only pointed out the bad spots. However, he understands the mistakes he made, and does want to see improvement from himself and teammates.
