The Chicago Bears made some headlines yesterday and it wasn't for who they acquired but who they decided to let go. General manager Ryan Pace and the Bears decided to cut ties with offensive tackle Bobby Massie as they won't be activating their option year with him. The move will see Massie hit free agency and the Bears save around $5million in cap space. Massie spoke to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune and revealed he knew about the release last week and doesn't sound too happy. "I'm just waiting to see what happens. I'm in a pretty good position, luckily, because I was playing good ball before I ended up getting hurt. The Bears let me go, but if anything, they gave me an opportunity to get a fourth contract. I'm not stressed about that.""But the truth is they can't afford me. They're definitely not going to be able to afford me once I hit the market because there are no tackles in free agency. As of today, I don't see me being a Bear next year. I liked where I was at, but today changes that."What do you think of the decision to release Massie and his comments?
