Report: George McCaskey "All In" On Deshaun Watson.
"The Chicago Bears seem to be big players in the quarterback market and have repeatedly been mentioned and tagged to disgruntled Seattle Seahawks' quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson has identified the Bears as one of the four teams he'd accept a trade to and likely the most realistic landing spot because the four other options either have a QB or cap issues.While the focus might be directed towards Wilson, Bears' ownership might be focused on somebody else. According to Jeff Hughes of Da Bears Blog, George McCaskey is focused on somebody else. Deshaun Watson. "The other thing I was told this weekend, and this comes from a very reliable source, is that George McCaskey will give up anything for Deshaun Watson. He's not willing to depart with multiple 1st round picks down the road for lesser guys. But for Deshaun Watson, he's willing to give up just about anything. That's where the Bears' desires lie."Hughes adds that the Bears are "all in" on Wilson, however won't complete the deal until they know for sure that they can't land Watson. It's clear that the word around the league that the Bears will have the biggest package on the table for Wilson but McCaskey won't sign off on it until they know that Watson won't be coming to Chicago. This of course leaves the Bears open to maybe overpaying for Watson however it would also have the Bears locked in at QB for likely the next 10 years.
