"The Chicago Bears are preparing for the Washington Redskins on Monday night and they're already down one man. Head coach Matt Nagy met with the media after practice on Thursday and confirmed the news. Defensive lineman Bilal Nichols broke his right hand on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. While Nichols won't play Monday, Nagy doesn't believe Nichols will need any time on injured reserve and the team will try and create a "club" around his hand so he can play in the coming weeks. Next man up is likely Roy Robertson-Harris who had a sack opening night.
Coach Nagy confirms Bilal Nichols has a broken hand - says he does not believe IR is a possibility and that the team is still working through next steps. — Chicago Bears (@ChicagoBears) September 19, 2019
