After a big pause between the Chicago Bears picks in the second round, the Bears were back on it back to back with #155 and #163. After selecting DE Trevis Gipson at #155, the Bears stuck to the defense as they drafted cornerback Kindle Vildor from Georgia Southern. Walterfootball has him ranked as the #29 cornerback on their list:4/22/20: Vildor had six passes broken up, two interceptions and 27 tackles in 2019.
6/22/19: Vildor was one of the best players in the Sun Belt conference during the 2018 season, and that led to him getting placed on NFL teams' preseason watch list for the 2020 NFL Draft. He snatched four interceptions with 15 passes defended and 42 tackles in 2018. In 2017, Vildor notched an interception and three passes defended. He was a first-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection in 2018, posting 42 stops, 4.5 for loss, a team-high four interceptions and 11 pass breakups in 13 starts. His follow-up performance was just as strong, as SBC coaches named him first-team all-conference again in 2019 despite missing time with an ankle injury (27 tackles, three for loss, two interceptions, six pass breakups in 11 games, 10 starts). Vildor became a part-time starter in 2017, beginning five of 12 contests played (21 tackles, 1.5 for loss, three interceptions, seven pass breakups). He contributed as a reserve and on special teams as a true freshman, posting five stops.
