"The Chicago Bears and general manager Ryan Pace announced a blockbuster trade on Sunday. The team has acquired top tier wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. from the New York Giants. In return of landing Beckham, the Bears will send their 2018, 2019 and 2020 first round picks to the Giants along with their 2018, 2019 second round picks. Many people have labelled Beckham as a "transcendent talent" and without a doubt the Bears now have arguably the strongest wide receiver group in the league with Beckham joining the team. OBJ has put up at least 90 catches, 1300 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons and will elevate the play of quarterback Mitch Trubisky to levels which might have him in the top 5 quarterbacks for 2018. Let's just take a look at Eli Manning's numbers with and without Beckham in the lineup thanks to NFL.com:Manning with OBJ: 63.2 percent completion rate, 66:29 touchdown-to-interception ratio, 7.0 yards per attempt, 91.4 passer rating.Manning without OBJ: 60.6 percent completion rate, 14:14 touchdown-to-interception ratio, 6.0 yards per attempt, 75.3 passer rating. While he has been labeled as a bit of distraction, most Giants teammates have said he's a hard worker and solid teammate. The trade was originally reported by NFL Networks newest reporter, April Foolington.
