Teams are required to finalize their rosters by Tuesday afternoon. ProFootballTalk.com reports that the Eagles have let go of quarterback Ian Book and tight ends Tyree Jackson and Dan Arnold. Book, a former fourth-round selection by the New Orleans Saints, started once as a rookie. Although the Eagles picked him up off waivers last year, they've now decided to part ways. This move leaves Jalen Hurts with two backups: Marcus Maropta and Tanner McKee.
Jackson, originally a University of Buffalo quarterback, shifted to the tight end position in the NFL and recorded three catches for 22 yards over 14 games with Philadelphia. Arnold, on the other hand, joined the Eagles this offseason after a stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars where he secured nine catches for 135 yards. He has previously played for teams like the Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, and the Saints.
