As announced this evening, former college superstar and NFL player Carson Strong has retired from his playing career:

Strong is best known for his time in college football where he was the star QB for Nevada. He finished his college career as a 2-time MW Offensive Player of the Year and a 2-time First-team All-MW. In 30 games started, Strong threw for 9,379 passing yards along with 74 touchdowns and only 19 interceptions.

Even with an impressive college career, Strong went undrafted in the 2022 NFL draft. He has since been apart of both the Eagles and Cardinals practice squads until joining the United States Football League last year, but missed a lot of playing time due to an injury. He was waived by the Michigan Panthers a few days ago.

Now, after suffering several injuries to his knee, Strong is retiring from professional football. He states in his retirement post that though he loves the game of football, he has come to the conclusion that his knee can no longer take the injuries, surgeries, and rehabs.

Though Strong is ending his playing career, he will start a career in coaching, and will soon become the OC at Reno high and will work as a private QB coach in Nevada.
