While on The Pat McAfee Show, NFL insider Adam Schefter revealed that the Bears showed interest in former Eagles DE Derek Barnett before his release, and will likely claim him today:

Barnett was selected by the Eagles as the 14th overall pick in the 2017 draft. Since then, he has been a member of the Eagles, and even was apart of their team for their Super Bowl win in early 2018.

Unfortunately, Barnett has since suffered injuries that have shown a decline in his performance, and the Eagles waived him this past long-weekend.

Barnett still has a lot left in the tank, and when healthy, he is a beast on the field.

The Bears are showing much interest in him, and are likely going to sign him today, according to Schefter.
