Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore has been discharged from a Cleveland hospital after suffering a head injury during a Week 17 win against the New York Jets. Coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed the news during a press conference on Friday, stating that Moore is now at home and in concussion protocol. The team will monitor his progress over the coming days.
The incident occurred in the second quarter of the Browns' 37-20 victory on Thursday in Cleveland. Moore was injured during a play when quarterback Joe Flacco connected with him on a pass. Moore managed to gain some yardage but was brought down by Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley. After the tackle, Moore remained on the ground, lying on his back with his arms moving. He was then assisted off the field and taken to the hospital, where he stayed overnight.
In the game, Moore had five receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown. The three-year veteran had accumulated 640 yards and two touchdowns on 59 catches throughout the season.
