As per Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers are parting ways with their inside linebackers coach Jerry Olsavsky and bringing in Aaron Curry to fill the position. This marks the second change in inside linebackers coaches for Pittsburgh in as many seasons, with Curry following Brian Flores, who departed to become the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings. Olsavsky, who had been with the Steelers for more than twenty years, was released from his duties, having had his role with the team greatly reduced last year.
Curry has spent the last four years working in different capacities for the Seattle Seahawks, including serving as the assistant defensive line/defensive ends coach in 2022. He also played four seasons in the NFL after being selected with the fourth overall pick by Seattle in the 2009 draft.
The departure of Olsavsky has left the Steelers without an outside linebackers coach for the upcoming season. However, it is expected that the team will make a hire for this position before the season begins.
