Browns release pro bowl receiver
Adam Schefter reported that the Cleveland Browns are releasing WR Jarvis Landry.
Landry is a very talented route runner. He has pilled up the stats throughout his career in Miami and Cleveland. However, what impresses me the most is his physicality. He is such an intense player. Most analysts see him as the best run-blocking receiver in all of football. Landry has 688 receptions and 7598 yards in his 8-year career.
With the news of his release, this means that the bears would not even have to give up draft capital to obtain his rights. Landry is a natural-born leader. He demands the best of his teammates and he leads by example as well. I truly feel like he would be a great fit with what both Ryan Poles and Matt Ebrflus are trying to establish in Chicago. Physical football!
