Chandler Jones has a new team!
Tom Pelissero reported that OLB Chandler Jones has signed with the Las Vegas Raiders. The deal is expected to be around at least $17 million annually. Big money for the 32-year-old veteran!
Jones was one of the best pass rushers available this off-season. It was one of the biggest dominos to fall in free agency. Since the start of 2015, Jones ranks second in the league for sacks (84.0), behind only Aaron Donald. Jones is 32, but his production level is still upper-echelon, spending the last six seasons with the Arizona Cardinals.
No one started their season off quite as hot as Jones in 2021. In Week 1, he racked up an astounding 5 sacks against the Titans. Jones ended the season with 10.5 sacks during his 15 games while adding 41 tackles (31 solos), 12 tackles for a loss, 26 QB hits, 6 forced fumbles, and 36 pressures.

Ian Rapoport also reported that, following this deal, it was announced that the Raiders have traded pass-rusher Yannick Ngakoue to the Colts in a deal that includes CB Rock Ya-Sin.
