Here's the Friday injury report update from the Bears, and it's not a development I particularly like: the injury list has grown longer as the week progressed, which is never a good sign.
Two new additions to the injury report on Friday are cornerback Kyler Gordon (calf) and center Lucas Patrick (calf). Surprisingly, neither of them appeared on the injury report earlier in the week. Both players are now listed as questionable, which is not ideal, but at least it's not a more serious designation.
Now, the big question is whether Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson will be able to play against the Packers in Week 18. Initially, Johnson expressed confidence that he would be on the field this week, especially after earning his first Pro Bowl nod. However, things have taken a turn as he missed a third consecutive practice due to a shoulder injury. While his limited snap count in Week 17 against the Atlanta Falcons may not have been a problem, the situation is different when it comes to facing the Packers.
Running back Kahlil Herbert is also in question, with a back injury and "personal" reasons added to the injury report after a missed Friday practice. On a more positive note, Cole Kmet, DJ Moore, and Patrick Scales saw improvements on Friday. Moore is good to go with no designation, while Scales and Kmet are listed as questionable.
Stay tuned for more updates in the upcoming preview post.
