The Chicago Bears and general manager Ryan Pace totally revamped their tight end position this offseason. Drafting top TE Cole Kmet and signing veteran free agent Jimmy Graham while releasing Trey Burton. They also addressed their quarterback situation by adding Nick Foles to push Mitch Trubisky possibly out of the starter role. They didn't do much to address the wide receiver or running back positions though. Pace drafted wide receiver Darnell Mooney which could end up being a very nice pick however at the end of the day he was a fifth round pick and draft capital always reigns supreme. David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen struggled to really get things going last year. Part of that was because the OLine was a disaster and the tight end problems and now Pace has mildly addressed those problems so we might see some better production from the running back position. JJ Stankevitz of NBC Sports lists the Bears as a perfect landing spot for free agent Devonta Freeman to make the running back position an even bigger threat. "Freeman was one of the best running backs in the NFL when he made consecutive Pro Bowls in 2015 and 2016, but now stands as another reminder of how short the shelf life for running backs is. He averaged just 3.6 yards for the Atlanta Falcons last year and was released shortly before his 28th birthday. He'd be a big name to fill a backup role, but he had 59 receptions last year for the Falcons and could be a nice fit alongside Montgomery and Tarik Cohen. " Do you think Freeman on a cheap one year deal would be a good addition?
