Stroud finished the 45-14 win going 16/21, throwing for 274 yards, along with 3 touchdowns.
The 22 year old rookie is looking like a superstar, and some Bears fear that they missed out on drafting him.
The Bears originally owned the number 1 pick in 2023 and traded the pick away in exchange for a 2024 pick and WR DJ Moore from the Panthers. With the first pick, the Panthers ended up getting Bryce Young, and Stroud was picked second.
Now, some are saying that if the Bears kept their number 1, then they could have selected Stroud and been a playoff team.
To respond to these comments, former NFL tight end Clay Harbor took to Twitter to explain why even if the Bears got Stroud, they would have still not been a playoff team:
As seen, Harbor explains how though Stroud could have been great on the Bears, the team would not have been powerful without Moore, and if the Bears kept their pick, then Moore would not be on the Bears.
