Leah Covey, the spouse of Eagles return man Britain Covey, expressed her embarrassment at the Chiefs' celebration of their Super Bowl 57 triumph, which was aided by a controversial penalty call.
With less than two minutes remaining, the Kansas City Chiefs received an automatic first down due to a defensive holding penalty against James Bradberry on 3rd and 8. Without the penalty, the Eagles would have regained possession with just under two minutes to go. Instead, the Chiefs ran down more time and secured the Super Bowl-winning field goal with eight seconds left. Despite the negative feedback on Twitter, the Eagles cornerback admitted that the referees made the correct decision. "It was a holding. I tugged his jersey. I was hoping they would let it slide," he said after Super Bowl LVII.
The only way for the Eagles to move on from this is to return to the Super Bowl next season and emerge victorious.
