The Bears are stepping into a new chapter in the NFC North, one that no longer features Aaron Rodgers.

For the first time in a decade and a half, the Bears are free from facing one of the NFL's all-time great quarterbacks twice each season. This heralds the dawn of a potential long-standing rivalry between Justin Fields of the Bears and Jordan Love, the Packers' latest quarterback.

So who has the edge at the quarterback position? ESPN analysts weighed in on "Get Up!"

"Jordan Love seems more in control of his offense than Justin Fields," observed former NFL safety Ryan Clark. "Fields is unquestionably gifted, particularly with his mobility. However, Love appears more poised and seems to better understand where his teammates will be."

"When it comes to this particular season and the teams around them, I lean towards Jordan Love," added former NFL wide receiver Harry Douglass. "He's looked more at ease at the QB position, both inside and outside the pocket. For now, my pick is Love."

"Fields might end up with better stats, but Love will have a more successful season in terms of wins and possibly making the playoffs," noted Kimberly Martin. Fields had an underwhelming preseason run.

In his initial outing, his teammates did the heavy lifting. DJ Moore and Khalil Herbert notched 62- and 56-yard touchdowns, respectively, off separate screen plays. Fields himself faced criticism for the inaccuracy of his throws.

His performance in the Bears' final preseason game against the Bills was less than stellar, marred by inaccurate deep throws and questionable decision-making.

On the flip side, Love has impressed this preseason, scoring a touchdown in each game he's participated in. His game footage also shows his comfort in the pocket and keen vision.

Dan Orlovsky, however, remains a believer in Fields. "For Justin to advance, two key aspects need attention," the former NFL quarterback stated. "First, his offense needs to generate yards after the catch. Second, he must avoid plays that kill driveslike sacks, fumbles, and interceptions. That's where I see his most significant growth potential."

Does Love have what it takes to inherit the mantle of the Bears' longtime nemesis, just a season after Rodgers' departure?
