Espn confirms bears buzz around this player is for real
Darnell Wright's remarkable ascent leading up to the NFL draft started long before he wowed scouts at the NFL Scouting Combine, where he posted the second-highest athleticism score among tackles, measuring 6-foot-5 and 333 pounds. Wright's story is a reflection of his personal development, increased maturity, gained experience, and steadfast commitment to realizing his full potential.
During an exclusive interview with NBC Sports Chicago, Wright shared that he concentrated on continuous self-evaluation and honing his skills, learning from lost reps and making improvements for the next one. This mindset contributed to an exceptional senior season at Tennessee, in which he allowed just eight total pressures and no sacks. Pro Football Focus reports that his 1.7% pressure rate ranked third among all Division 1 tackles.
"I had a lengthy conversation with Coach C-Mo," Wright mentioned. "Interestingly, when he asked me about my pet peeves, we discovered that his top pet peeve and mine were the same. So, I think it's going to be enjoyable working with him if I join the Bears."
Wright continued, "He told me he wants talented players who don't just coast by. He pointed out that I've performed well so far but have much more potential. My pet peeve is not fully utilizing my abilities, so once I establish a foundation and trust with the team, I want to experiment and see what suits me best."
"He responded, 'I'll ensure you have a solid foundation first.' We have some aspects to iron out, and if that's the only issue, I believe we'll have a great relationship. He's an excellent coach."

In addition to that, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, who accurately predicted last month that Carolina would trade with Chicago, there is a lot of talk about Darnell Wright.
"The most talented tackle might be Tennessee's Darnell Wright, who could go as early as Chicago at No. 9," Fowler said. "Some teams are concerned about Wright's maturity, but he believes - and has tried to prove - that he's moved past issues from early in his UT tenure. Most teams have a hard time believing he'll slip based on his immense talent. He could surprise people."
