The 36-year-old Graham was taken into custody by the Newport Beach (Calif.) Police Department after he was found wandering in traffic, seemingly under the influence of controlled substances. When the police first tried to detain him, Graham reportedly resisted arrest.
After his arrest, Graham was taken to the hospital where he was met by the Saints' team doctor, John Amoss. According to the statement released by the team, Amoss believes that Graham likely experienced a seizure.
Graham was discharged from the hospital on Saturday morning and has since rejoined the Saints. He is expected to play in the team's preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
Graham signed a one-year deal with his hometown team, the Saints, this offseason after missing the entire 2022 season. He last played with the Bears in 2021.
During his time with the Bears, Graham appeared in 31 games over two seasons from 2020 to 2021. He recorded 64 receptions for 631 yards and 11 touchdowns.
