Former Bears Coach has Signed with Division Rival as their New Defensive Coach

As revealed earlier today, the Lions have hired Deshea Townsend as their new defensive passing game coordinator/CBs coach:

Townsend originally entered the NFL playing as a CB. He was drafted by the Steelers as a 4th-round pick in 1998, and won 2 Super Bowls with the team.

After retiring from the NFL in 2010, Townsend became a defensive coach and bounced around to a few different teams. He worked as a secondary coach with the Bears from 2019-2021.

Now, he is back in the NFC North and will be working with the Lions
